The Lancashire & Yorkshire DCC Model Rail Group, formed in May 2007, was one of the first model rail groups in the UK that concentrated on DCC control. Our aim is to promote and increase the knowledge of Digital Command Control (DCC).
However, although there is still a focus on DCC we welcome new members from all backgrounds, skill levels, and railway interests.
Our members are always on hand to give help and advice if needed.
We are a friendly club and have recently added a new kitchen area and a meeting room which includes projection facilities for talks, slide shows etc.
Following on from this we are definitely open to new members. We have 24/7 access for full members and many members meet up during daytime sessions during the week and at weekends.
We have a number of layouts owned by individuals or a group of members, they include Holcombe Brook & Tottington, Bucks Lane.
Layouts under construction and development include Alandale (based in the Peak District), a large American 'O' gauge layout, a GWR layout, a UK and Continental layout , a US layout and Borchester Market
Our club rooms are in Haslingden, Lancashire and our meeting night is Wednesday between 1900 and 2130. If you want to come along to the club please contact the Club Secretary in advance on 07918627448.
